We teach our patients special exercises to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction. In addition to skeletal misalignment, muscles and connective tissues can be out of place or strained by improper alignment and use. Neurological Applications of Applied Kinesiology (NAAK)

Dr. Evans specializes in one of the most advanced Applied Kinesiology systems in the world, Neurological Applications of Applied Kinesiology (NAAK). NAAK is a fusion of Applied Kinesiology, Chiropractic Neurology and Functional Medicine. This technique allows the doctor to assess the functional abilities of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and all the organs and tissues innervated by the nervous system. This creates a system with infinite variables and combinations of treating the whole body all the way to the cellular and genetic levels. NAAK has been especially useful in cases of chronic pain, concussions, sports injury prevention, and undiagnosed illnesses. For more information click here.

DOT Physical

If you are a professional bus or truck driver, you know how rigorous the demands of your job can be. In order to ensure your and the public’s safety you’ll most likely need to take a DOT (Department Of Transportation) physical.

A DOT physical is a checkup that’s required for commercial vehicle drivers by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA).

This exam makes sure that you are able to meet the physical requirements of your job.

NRT (Nutrition Response Testing)

Dr. Shelby specializes in Nutrition Response Testing, which is a non-invasive way to test your body and discover what deficiencies or underlying issues are causing your symptoms and health conditions, developed by Dr. Freddie Ulan.

When you give your body the exact nutrients it needs it can heal itself. The best way to give your body what it needs is to discover what is lacking and help the body get back in balance. This is done with Nutrition Response Testing. We find out what your body needs and create a clinically designed , personal nutrition program based on the testing.

“The doctor of the future will give no medicine but will interest his patient in the car of the human frame, in nutrition and in the cause and prevention of disease.” Thomas Edison

Cold Laser Therapy

Cold laser therapy is low-intensity laser therapy that stimulates healing by using low levels of laser light.

The technique is called “cold” laser therapy because the low levels of light aren’t enough to heat your body’s tissues.

During this procedure, low level laser light is applied directly to the targeted area. The body tissue then absorbs the light. The laser light cases a reaction within the tissue and the damaged cells respond with a physiological reaction that promotes regeneration (healing). Although you’ll feel the laser device touching your skin, the procedure is painless and noninvasive. There will be no sound and you’ll feel no vibration or heat. Each treatment typically only takes a few minutes.

The main uses for cold laser therapy are tissue repair and relief from pain and inflammation such as in:
- Ligament sprains
- Muscle strains
- Tendonitis
- Bursitis
- Tennis elbow
- Back pain
- Joint pains
- Muscle spasms
